Eugene is a far drive from London Ontario, so I did not plan to go. When my good friend Olga Kornienko told me that BRTCA invited her to conduct a grooming seminar at the Nationals and asked if I would like to join her, I thought, why not.  Then we start thinking, why not take Rusah-bear with us, she could enter obedience and show in conformation.

I had to beg my hubby Troy to let me have Rusah, his service dog with me and he finally gave in!

There was no directs flights, we had to change planes and wait in the airports.  It was tiring.  It was first time for Rusah to fly- usually Troy drives everywhere they go to. Rusah was wonderful during our trip to Eugene and back.  She flew with us inside the plane. It was very difficult for her to fit in between the seats on the small airplanes.  Rusah had to stretch her front legs into the isle between the 2 rows of seats.  All flight attendances were patient and curious; Rusah had to sit up to give them some room to deliver meals and refreshments to the passengers.

Rusah did amazing in Obedience, she got the biggest award possible High in Trial (HIT) and received a gorgeous trophy created by Mary P. For people who do not compete in Obedience, HIT is like getting Best in Show in conformation. The dog that gets the highest score among all dogs competing at the trial (show) is awarded HIT

It was Rusah’s 1st competition in AKC in both Obedience and Rally.  Rusah did very well in Rally Obedience and earned her 1st leg for AKC RN title.

Rusah showed well in conformation, placed Winner Bitch with a 5 point major

Rusah is the first BRT in the ring.

We fell in love with Onyx and picked him as the future sire of Rusah's "U" Litter.

Handsome couple, Rusah and Onyx in the rign.

More pictures of 6 year old Rusah. Dorren T. is happy for Rusah, future Mom of her Rusah-Onyx puppy Ulan

Midnight Solo and Zastava brought a basket to be auctioned to raise money for the BRTCA
We won 2nd place.

We had lots of fun at the Banquette and at the annual meeting, participated in raffle and won some gorgeous items.

Rusah went everywhere with us. She was paying attention at the Annual Meeting, very concerned about the future of our breed and BRTCA's activities for the last year. After a while she got tired and decided to relax a bit.

Rusah Participated in Parade of champions and received ribbons for her achievements over the years.

Rusah and I had a great time, had lots of fun receiving our awards and trophies and would like to thank everyone for organizing and participating in the Nationals. Hope to see you all in 2010.
